Job Title: Director – Quality Safety Health Environmental (QSHE)

Location: Jamnagar

Department: Quality

Reports to: Plant Head

Job Purpose

Your role as a Director - Quality Safety Health Environmental (QSHE) is to lead and oversee all the quality and SHE processes and systems for the manufacturing set-up based at Jamnagar. The successful candidate is expected to utilize and optimize a variety of measures and management systems, including the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, total quality management (TQM), as well as the continuous improvement processes. In short to install a total quality culture throughout the organization.

In this position, you will report to the Plant Head and will be based at Jamnagar, India.

What you will be doing:
  • Improving the Company’s Quality procedures, standards and specifications by being visible at the shopfloor and action in a hands-on manner
  • Driving and owning customer requirements/ complaints and ensuring that they are met in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate/Coach/support manufacturing and sales team regarding Quality systems and certifications.
  • Performing Quality and Environmental related reporting
  • Making sure that manufacturing- and/or production processes meet the company’s high standards
  • Defining local quality procedures
  • Working closely with the Sales Companies to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information and follow up and act on any issues in a professional and coordinated manner.
  • Perform and manage internal as well as external audits
  • KPI management: ensure that key quality KPI’s are measured, recorded, trended and reported to the plant and management.
  • P lanning, implementing, and enforcing an organization’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures while working with other departments to ensure that all the guidelines are being followed.
  • Managing the overall direction of a company’s sustainability efforts, including setting goals and measuring progress
Who you are:
  • Engineering Graduate with minimum 15 Years of experience
  • Post Graduate would be preferred
  • Preferred experience of working in similar industries
  • Good knowledge of various manufacturing process-Sheet Metal, Press shop, Machine shop, Forging, Paint shop, Pressure Die Casting, Electroplating, and Lacquer.
  • Effective communicator
  • Good Analytical skill
  • Quick decision maker
