Job Title: Lecturer in Nursing (Community Health/Paediatric/Psychiatric/OBG/Medical Surgical).

Qualification and Experience: Only candidates with MSc Nursing in the following specialities: Community Health/Paediatric/Psychiatric/OBG/Medical Surgical Nursing with atleast 60% marks need to apply. Teaching experience of 1 to 5 years in a Nursing College.

Responsibilities:

Classroom Teaching: Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct interactive sessions to teach students the theoretical foundations and practical applications of nursing within their chosen specialty.

Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of the nursing curriculum in alignment with the latest advancements and best practices in the field.

Clinical Training: Organize and supervise clinical training for students in healthcare settings relevant to their specialty, ensuring students receive hands-on experience and learn to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life situations.

Assessment and Evaluation: Design, administer, and grade assessments, tests, and assignments to evaluate students’ understanding and progress. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve.

Mentoring and Guidance: Offer guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them in their academic and professional development. Provide career advice and support.

Research and Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publishing articles, and participating in academic conferences to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge and practice.

Clinical Simulation: Develop and oversee clinical simulation experiences that replicate real-world patient scenarios, allowing students to practice critical thinking, decision-making, and technical skills in a controlled environment.

Supervision of Dissertations/Projects: Guide students in their research projects, theses, or dissertations, ensuring that they follow ethical guidelines and produce quality research outcomes.

Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest developments in nursing practice, education, and technology. Integrate new knowledge and practices into the curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other faculty members, healthcare professionals, and institutions to enhance the educational experience, share resources, and promote interdisciplinary learning.

Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills, remain current in nursing practice, and explore innovative teaching methodologies.

Administrative Tasks: Participate in administrative responsibilities such as attending faculty meetings, participating in curriculum review, and assisting in accreditation processes.

Ethical and Professional Conduct: Serve as a role model for students by upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in teaching, patient care, and interactions with colleagues and students.

Counseling and Support: Provide emotional support and counseling to students when needed, especially in the context of challenging clinical experiences.

Community Engagement: Contribute to community health initiatives, outreach programs, and collaborations with local healthcare institutions to promote health and wellbeing within the community.
