We are looking for a Manual Test Engineer based out in Kochi, Kerala. Kindly find the requirements as mentioned below:


Responsibilities:

  • Manual testing of web and windows based applications, APIs, web services testing and integration testing of a complex system.
  • Strong knowledge of software development process, along with software testing concepts and methodologies
  • Developing and implementing test plans, test strategy, test cases, test reports and ensuring defect free releases
  • Responsible for testing of software web applications - products / projects
  • Build detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and supervise bugs
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify system requirements
  • Supervise debugging process results
  • Provide customer training and develop user help manuals
  • Should be an expert in Defect Tracking tools such as JIRA, Redmine etc.
  • Ability to track and correct key test metrics such as defect density, reopen rate, test coverage etc.
  • Ability to map requirements to test cases using tools like RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix) or Quality Centre.
  • Expertise in testing of the mobile app across various platforms
  • Capability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Expertise in creating test data and stubs for testing

Requirements:

  • Ability to work well with people.
  • Strong communications skills
  • Good documentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft’s Word and Excel.
  • Minimum B.Tech/M.Tech /MCA with above 70 percent throughout. (No backlogs)
  • Experience: 3-5 Years in Manual testing of web based software applications
