We are a purpose-driven 10 years old organization with a deep commitment towards Education and Skill development resulting in social impacts. Established by a team of IIT/IIM and Jadavpur University alumni and Educationists. Received patronage from Tata Group. We received multiple recognition from Goldman Sachs, Niti AAYOG Government of India, and the World Economic Forum. We are working across multiple states in Eastern India towards nurturing SHG group formation among unemployed youth. We are looking for Master Trainer for Self Help Group (SHG) Capacity Building.


Job Purpose:

To create and deliver training on SHGs (Self Help Groups) capacity building. To handhold the trainees in implementing the learnings.



Main Duties & Responsibilities:

SHG Capacity Building Training :

  • Effective and timely implementation of all training interventions outlined under SHG.
  • Creation and Reviewing of SHGs training materials and handouts.
  • Reviewing and adapting of Concern business skills training package to the target trade and state context.

The training will include the following modules:


1. Exposure Visit - To demonstrate discipline in SHG, the role of SHG in improving life and livelihood, and the role of an Apex institution.

2. Training to SHG members on objectives of SHG, Cluster, and Federation.

3. Financial Literacy training for members of SHG.

4. SHG organization and roles of members: - Training on the overall SHG structural Levels & roles, Standard Operating Procedures @ SHG, record keeping, MIS, Conflict Resolution, Group processes, Resource Planning, Livelihood issues, Grading, and Bank linkage.

5. Record-Keeping and MIS training.

6. Overall, how to make an effective SHG operation.


Work Experience:

1. 3-5 years of work experience in SHG training or in the social capacity building field.

2. Experience in working with the communities in organized social project activities.

3. Have experience in gender and income generation activities.

4. Have experience in delivering training to the staff and CBOs.

Professional Skills:

1. MSW or Masters in Mass Communication.

2. Diploma in Social Welfare, Social Work and sector capacity building or entrepreneurship, etc.

3. Good proficiency (Speak and Write) in English and Bengali/Hindi/Odisha
4. High team working ability.
5. Capability to develop and submit accurate monthly work plans and reports to the program manager.
6. Very Good Computer usage skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and E-mail writing)

7. Readiness to travel across Eastern India states.
