We are looking for enthusiastic professionals who can Independently develop, modify and de-bug programming routines (such as SAS or R or python) along with sophisticated SQL queries to extract, clean, handle, and analyze large databases. Must be familiar with one of the healthcare database like healthcare claims, Electronic Medical records, Registry.

As a member of Real World Evidence (RWE) team you will be conducting observational data analyses including data management and statistical programming as well as the development of RWE dashboards by translating the study design into sophisticated algorithms in collaboration with RWE Research Analysts and colleagues or business partners across all Novartis franchises.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Understand sophisticated and critical business problems, formulates coordinated analytical approach to mine data sources, employ statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to contribute solving unmet medical needs, discover actionable insights and automate process for reducing effort and time for repeated use.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners & cross-functional teams to solve critical business problems -Understand life science data sources including preclinical, clinical, sales, contracting, promotions, social media, patient claims & Real World Evidence -Research and co-develop with supervisor new algorithms, methods, statistical models and business models and providing insight into structured and unstructured data,
  • Quickly learn the use of tools, data sources & analytical techniques needed to answer a wide range of critical business questions -Support the evaluation of the need of technology and novel scientific software, visualization tools and innovative approaches to computation to increase efficiency and quality of the Novartis practices
  • Independently identifies research articles and propose them for application to Novartis business problems -Develop automation for repeatedly refreshing analysis & generating insights -Articulates solutions/recommendations to business users.
  • Works with senior data science team member to present analytical content concisely and effectively -Ability to provide understandable and actionable business intelligence for key stakeholders -May lead a small team or in-depth technical expertise in a scientific/technical field depending upon the career path (Manager/Individual contributor)
