About Crop and Digital Solutions

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work. Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.

Responsibilities

• Work within an international product team with a product manager, designers, and other developers to create solutions and apps focused on our customers’ needs.
• Participate in the full life cycle of a product, from early stage rapid prototyping through to full market release and continuous improvement after initial launch.
• Develop back end components of scalable apps and solutions

Profile

• Have 5+ years experience building scalable backend services. Have 2+ years of TypeScript experience, including concepts like type inference, type erasure, generics, namespaces, etc.
• Have 4+ years experience with building production grade software design and implementation using Node.js (Express, Koa). Experience with SQL-DB (e.g. PostgreSQL) and optionally NoSQL (e.g. DynamoDB, Redis).
• Experience with AWS, Docker and/or Kubernetes. Extensive practical knowledge of unit and integration tests. Experience with microservice architecture
• Practical experience using Git, designing and implementing REST APIs, open API documentation, cloud platforms, test driven development, continuous integration
• Comfortable working with agile development methodologies such as Kanban and general understanding of concepts such as micro services, message queues, machine learning, and geospatial data
