Responsibilities

At Guidehouse, the Research Analyst is someone who demonstrates digital expertise with an emphasis on synthesizing data and research trends from a variety of sources to develop strategic insights that will become the foundation of different Research programs across multiple domains viz - Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure .The Analyst will collect, streamline and standardize data; conduct internal data analysis to help Subject Matter Experts; and improve performance across different programs. In addition, this person will be responsible for doing custom research based on client queries.

As such the Analyst should have a strong business acumen and the ability to leverage a wide array of data collection and analysis techniques to develop innovative recommendations. The ideal candidate is passionate about different data collection approaches, interpreting data, providing thought leadership/insights and making recommendations in line with business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • The candidate would be involved in Quantitative & Qualitative research
  • Responsible for understanding, reviewing, and gathering the required information through secondary research from different data sources on their own
  • Will be responsible for data manipulation and data streamlining
  • Will be responsible for transcribing and reporting the information collected into client ready formats, as required
  • Perform internal data analysis and data quality. Analyze results, interpret and communicate findings to the business.
  • Actively seek feedback on the research done and identify the scope for process improvement
  • Proactively seeks out new data collection tools and data interpretation approaches
Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelors/MBA/PGDM 2-3 years experience with interest in research/analytic work in data-volume environment.
  • Excellent data manipulation skills and ability to interpret data from multiple sources; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Naturally curious and passionate about data, insights and applications to research programs.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to interact with stakeholders at different levels and present take-away insights
  • Capable of anticipating potential issues/problems and developing solutions when needed.
  • Open to last minute alterations in project and welcomes constructive feedbacks
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Expertise Preferred

Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge/background in Energy Industry is an added advantage
  • Excellent comprehension skills in English language
  • Technically sound in data collection and data streamlining
  • Attention to detail and mindset for hard work
  • Must have patience and good decision-making skills
  • Skills in Report preparation and presentation in MS-Office tools
Ability to use multiple communication tools and a good team player
