The team calculates investments performance results for clients and funds using consistent, standard methodologies that are free from bias and audits the data to comply with GIPS. They interpret and present these results in a manner that enables partners and clients to understand investment performance and assets under management. The team supports London, Chicago, Tempe and West Palm.

Team oversees the development and maintenance of a competitive and profitable product set and client order management operation through the establishment and execution of best policies, processes, procedures and governance.

PROFILE SUMMARY:
Individual is responsible for 
Responding to auditor, consultant, and client investment associates, Portfolio managers, product managers and product specialists
 The individual will be responsible for calculating and comparing the rate of return, using the various data sources including Custodian websites. Also be involved in auditing returns and holdings, maintaining the related database up to date
 Individual is responsible for responding to functions related to process oversight, support and development
 Specific procedures are followed for each type of functions which would involve collating information from various sources using internal and external applications
 Individual has knowledge of applications such as Investment Passport, Intranet, PACE, Aladdin, Fundamentals, Enterprise, Bloomberg and Factset etc

JOB TITLE: SENIOR ANALYST - PERFORMANCE & REPORTING
The role supports the NTGI Reporting team in two main areas:
 Respond to auditor, consultant and client questionnaires on investment data to ensure data integrity
 Follow specific procedure for each type of data from applications by carefully following product manager’s instructions
 Create ad hoc reports as per instructions from onshore and product managers
 To produce both regular and customized data by referring to various applications depending on the requests from product managers
 Coordinate activities with sensitivity to client needs to grow and sustain NTAM reputation as a premier provider of client service, while keeping within the standard policies and procedures.
 To assist in new projects, Train and assist the team whenever required and play a key role in offshoring functions

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
 Primary responsibility includes validation of performance data at Total level, preparation of Contribution analysis, attribution analysis and custom reporting on daily, weekly and monthly basis
 Evaluate different types of performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis. Ability to produce and interpret results from internal and external clients by detailed investigation
 Ability to act as a process expert and own and resolve complex queries and issues not only of self but also help the immediate juniors
 Understand the different investment performance calculation methodologies and the underlying data dependencies to calculate Rate of Return and develop the ability to identify and investigate returns that is out of tolerance
 To assist the team on new projects, initiatives, and client issues as required in relation to this function
 Responsible for following up with both internal and external partners to ensure data required to calculate the performance is received in a timely manner in order to meet the performance due date
 Updating and maintaining the performance data on Internal and External database
 Create ad hoc reports as per instructions from Investment associates and portfolio managers
 Identifying and Investigating outliers using analytical tools
 Reviewing, updating and implementing new processes and procedures as required, to enhance operational controls
 Develop a thorough understanding of Northern Trust Investment Products
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
 Graduate (MBA or equivalent) 
2-4 Years of relevant experience and good understanding of investment reports, return calculation and fund management
 Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners
 Work well with people in the same department, both locally and globally
 Imagination to Excel: Initiate and support pragmatic innovation within the local business area and advocate to integrate the business into global standards and specifications
 Advanced Microsoft and VBA skills 
Advanced Microsoft Access/Database skills preferred
 Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines are required
 Ability to adapt quickly to change
 Prior work experience on Attribution is preferred 
Industry certification in performance measurement-CIPM/CFA will be an added advantage
