Job Description for SharePoint Administrator

Experience: - 4+ years

Job description:

  • Provide L1/L2 technical support on SharePoint related issues.
  • Provide incident management support during P1/P2 incidents and work with incident management team and send out timely communication to respective stakeholders.
  • Provide site administration support including managing Site quotas, Site Search, site permissions and copy of data across sites.
  • Maintain and monitor SharePoint on-premises platform.
  • Coordinate problem resolution among team members and cross team collaboration for timely resolution of issues.
  • Work with SharePoint architect on issues related to SharePoint platform and escalate issues to L3 Admin queue.
  • Hands on experience to leverage/develop PowerShell scripts to resolve routine SharePoint platform issues, automate routine admin tasks.
  • Contribute to create Knowledge base article to Service Desk on SharePoint.
  • Work with Microsoft trough premier support on issues that are escalated and ensure quick and timely resolution.
  • Work with problem management team to document problem resolution and cause.
  • Monitor SharePoint backups are successful. Coordinate with SQL team on restoration of SharePoint sites through SQL backups.
  • Perform maintenance and patching of SharePoint platform, Servers.
  • Knowledge on SharePoint Migration tools such as Sharegate.

Skills and qualification: -

  • knowledge of SharePoint administration (2013, 2016, O365)
    • Different Topologies
    • Installation (stand alone and farm level)
    • Configuration of services
    • Enterprise / Hybrid Search
    • Workflows, content management, Office web app
    • User profiles

Education:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science engineering or MCA degree from a reputed university.
  • Relevant certifications will be a major plus

  • Capability to work with little management oversight must have strong personal initiative; Have a strong desire to grow technically and professionally
