Our Exciting Opportunity

The Engineer – FO is typically assigned to perform 24*7 Network surveillance and 1st Level assurance front office activities in an operations organization.

The primary purpose is to take full responsibility for event management & initial incident management. This includes working in rotational shift and ensuring Network alarm monitoring, alarm correlation & acknowledgement as per ZLD, timely engagement of IM/BO and other stake holders for critical alarms and timely notifications to all stakeholders. All these activities to be performed as per defined SLA and set WOW. The position is also responsible for pre post checkup and correlation for configuration changes within the scope of work as delegated by work area responsible. Fault remedy requiring on site presence is dispatched to the field operation organization

You will

  • Work within well-defined system support guidelines.
  • Ensure network alarm/ fault monitoring and stake holder engagement for fault restoration as per DEMC process and share notification to all stakeholders and ensure adherence to Response time SLA/WLA.
  • Ensure monitoring of automations pertaining to Auto Ticketing and alarm /TT correlation & escalation to Tools /SDAP and other relevant teams for any abnormality
  • Participate in internal technical discussions in view to improve overall network performance and make recommendations wherever possible.
  • Ensure pre & post alarm check up for requested planned Configuration change activities
  • Ensure correlation of alarm to CR before taking an action on incident engagement
  • Ensure correct working methodology.
  • Authorized for raising TT to next level of support in consultation.
  • Clearing of assigned Trouble Tickets.
  • Raise Work Orders/TT towards the Field Maintenance organization.

Main Tasks

  • Network alarm surveillance and incident triggering and stake holder engagement in 24*7 shifts.
  • To handle and pre analyze Trouble Tickets and take timely actions in terms of chat engagement and escalations and notifications to all stake holders
  • To Create WO/TT to field team when necessary.
  • Raise manual TTs towards Technical authority team on request from field teams or customer end requests in consultation.
  • To ensure pre & post alarm check up for requested planned Configuration change activities
  • To ensure correlation of alarm to CR before taking an action on incident engagement
  • Raise issue towards SDAP/Tools and other teams in case of any abnormality in monitoring Tools and automations
  • Involved in upgrade/updates of live nodes if required.
  • Rollout of New Feature as per MOP
  • Ability to perform under time constrains depending upon the business requirements.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Technical and/or functional skills: Good knowledge of service networks / GSM Network / WCDMA network / service applications characteristics and capabilities; Service Performance indicators and their interpretation. Basic Knowledge of services and service applications implementation / integration processes along with Access, Core, Transport & Service Networks.
  • General understanding call flows, channel concepts, site related issues, broad knowledge of Unix operating system is essential.
  • Ability to independently perform tests in a prepared environment and as per given instructions.
  • Ability to prepare implementation instructions under supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to Customer Service Requests and O&M queries of less complexity.
  • Good understanding of data transcript.
  • Working knowledge of support and supply processes.
  • Certifications: Any Certification related to Telecom shall be an added advantage

Education

  • Degree within Electrical Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalen

Experience

  • 2-4 years || Telecom Expereince
