About the Role
R&D Procurement Head -( Replacement for Priyanka left in Nov 2020.)
Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with hardware ODMs, software solution companies, services and equipment suppliers for structuring deals for procurement of the products and services
  • Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices; reviews and interprets contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible
  • Negotiate pricing and key engagement terms with suppliers and draft contracts agreements
  • Arbitrate claims or complaints occurring in performance of contracts
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts keeping in view the lifecycle of product and services
  • Serve as main liaison with internal stakeholders like procurement, legal, customs, taxations and technical teams for executing contracts
  • Constantly monitor and assess contractor performance to identify need for changes and amendments to existing contracts
  • Single point of contact with internal and external regulatory teams for coordination of compliance to regulatory requirements for new products/services

Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor/Master Degree in business/law/engineering with 12+ years of experience, of which minimum 3+ years in strategic business transactions involving contracting and partnership structuring in domains like software, electronic equipment, telecommunication services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of functional teams
  • In-depth knowledge of contract documents and specifications
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
  • Organizing and coordinating skills
  • Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology
Skill in the negotiation and establishment of contractual arrangements for goods and services
