Process Overview*

The operating model at BACI requires many of its business processes to work round the clock. The Transport function plays a pivotal role in fulfilling the business needs. Employee Transport Function is very complex and dynamic in operations and requirements. It requires meticulous planning, technology support and timely action. Within the BACI Framework, Transport function rolls up to the larger umbrella of GBS Management Services and is responsible for the following –

Provide convenience of transport to the employees as per the laid out guidelines Ensure the safety of all the employees while they are travelling in company provided transport Address employee’s concerns such as Security issues, Travel Time reduction etc.

Job Description*

The incumbent will be responsible for performing administrative duties requiring attention to detail, managing day-to-day operational challenges

Responsibilities*
  • Lead the day to day management and delivery of the transport team including the management of the outsourced partners with enhanced focus on building an efficient and customer centric environment with the function
  • Direct Operations (e.g. Safety measures, Inspections, Vehicle availability etc.) for the purpose of providing services within established guidelines and in compliance with related requirements
  • Implement strategies to cut cost and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of Transport Function
  • Asses incidents/accidents/complaints for the purpose of resolving or recommending a resolution to the situation
  • Drive Quality Initiatives with in the team to improve process capability and enhance process efficiency
  • Monitor and report progress against business delivery targets by effective management
  • Perform personnel functions (evaluating, supervising, counseling, disciplining, training etc.) to maintain adequate staffing, enhance productivity of personnel and achieving functional objectives within budget
  • Present Information, gain feedback and ensure adherence to established Internal controls
Requirements*
  • Education* - Graduate in any stream (Preferably MBA)
  • Experience* - Overall Experience of 5+ years with 1-2 years of experience in Transport/Administration Management. Experience in handling Business Operations will be an added advantage

  • Effective written & verbal communication and strong presentation creation skills
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Analytics & data crunching ability
  • Ability to communicate complex information very clearly to all levels of staff
  • Ability to actively contribute new ideas for improvements to current processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Should have excellent knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Desired skills*
  • Experience in interaction across multiple functions(across Operations, Enterprise Support)
Work Timings* - 12 noon to 9 pm
