Roles and Responsibilities

Design for extensible and scalable multi-threaded solutions, optimizing for resource utilization and performance
Contribute to the Software development and architecture team to take the development to the next level
Help introduce modern standards into the team and act as a technical architect or Lead as per the organization’s need
Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team
Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals
Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to the standard
Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible
Development, Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product
Develop, record, and maintain cutting-edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms
Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
Ability to reuse components and/ or plan for the development of reusable components

Desired Candidate Profile

Previous working experience as a PHP/ Laravel developer for at least 8 years
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 PHP Framework
Hands-on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design
Investigate and leverage 3rd party APIs for use in the product. Experience with video conferencing applications integration will be added benefit.
Experience developing and maintaining complex web architectures leveraging object-oriented PHP and JavaScript
Software testing (PHP Unit, PHPS pec, Behat)
MySQL profiling and query optimization
Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools e.g GIT
Good knowledge of AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS )
Experience in Javascript Frameworks (AngularJS/ReactJS/VueJS) will be an added advantage
Good to have knowledge on Elasticsearch - not mandatory
Creative and efficient problem solver
Good knowledge of HTML/CSS
