We are operating in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai locations.

Department Overview



The Wholesale International Operations (WIO) Group provides operational support through a target-operating-model of strategically located centers of excellence in the U.S., Canada, Asia, and Europe. WIO provides transaction processing support to various lines of business Commercial Capital, Corporate and Investment Banking, PVSI and Community Bank, Wells Fargo Securities, and support for the Wholesale International Program (WIP). Supported functions include payments, customer service, loan servicing, trade services, banknotes, foreign item processing, and regional middle office support for all securities trading. In addition, WIO provides shared services in the areas of operational risk, incident escalation and resolution tracking, Tax withholding services, and reconciliation.

Function

Manage a team of people and is accountable for the overall operational performance. Manage and lead a team of Trade finance professional who have expertise in handling Letter of Credit functions.

Essential Qualification



University Degree in Commerce, Business or related discipline
10+ Years of Trade experience
Candidates with people manager experience would have added advantage
CDCS Certified
Other Trade related certifications would be added advantage
Flexible to work in night shifts
Strong analytical skills


Primary responsibility
  • Ability to perform Trade Finance functions specific to Letter of credits – Issuance, advising, confirmation, transfers and document examination of import and export transactions
  • Responsible for servicing Trade Services clients with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Contribute as a team player and ensure smooth running of daily operations and processing all import/export bills documents in compliance with the commercial law/government regulations, e.g. OFAC, UCP600 and ISBP (CDCS Certification Mandatory)
  • Keep abreast of the latest changes on the commercial law/government regulations and provide updates on ICC opinions & changes in the trade industry to the staff
  • Ensure SLA (Service Level Agreement) is met and individual & team productivity is as per/above expectation/requirement
  • Participate in coaching and developmental requirements identified that is specific to Letter of Credit and document checking function
  • Identify Issue/problems related to process, assess, identify and fix performance related issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose ideas/process improvement fixes
  • Be up to date with latest developments and procedural changes governing trade/UCP/ISBP/URR and Inco terms
  • Lead and guide the team on day to day activities and manage people issues
  • Ensure NIL miss outs on compliance and timely escalation of any misses
  • May have direct/indirect responsibility for supporting, advising, and resolving disputes for customers, clients /vendors
  • Update the applicable/relevant systems of record with appropriate data
  • Excellent time Management Skills

Skill requirement

1. 10+ years of trade services experience
2. Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
3. Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
5. Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
