Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for cargo and container operations at Yard.
  • Attain and maintain shift productivity and CFS time norms.
  • Optimal utilization of equipment and resources.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed in all operations as per relevant SOP and RA.
  • Co-ordinate with contractors and customers for ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Motivate and guide shift employees for attaining set objectives.
  • Co-ordinate with transport team for transportation of export / import containers.
  • To comply with all aspects of MICT’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Supply chain security management systems.
  • Manage and schedule Leaves of team members.
  • Proper yard planning to achieve highest productivity with efficient cost management,
  • Maintain proper cleanliness / housekeeping at yard.
  • Monthly cargo inventory and Longstanding cargo follow up with customers.
  • Co-ordinating with Engg. Team for highest uptime of Container Handling Equipment’s.
  • Data maintenance of container handling Equipment’s.
  • Conducting Mock Drill as per schedule.
  • Review of SOP’s and RA’s on regular intervals.
  • Conducting interviews / test of checkers prior to joining contractor work force.
