What you’ll be doing

The team within GBS is busy establishing the function, including the structure of the team, ways of working and processes. To help guide that work, there is an opportunity for a Global HRIT Leadto join us.

The HRIT Lead oversees the design, build, implementation, maintenance, and management of global and/or regional HR technology solutions in accordance with the current organization and application architecture. They will work in close collaboration with the Workday COE and Global Support Team to accomplish this goal, ensuring that solutions meet individual GBS HR and group company needs at a global and local level, while taking an organization approach to prioritization, planning and implementation.

The Lead works with the People Data & Technology Lead to ensure that new HR technology systems (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) are successfully implemented for group companies joining GBS while balancing regional and/or local technology requirements and integration with non-corporate systems. They oversee a team of global and/or regional HRIT specialists focused on non-corporate legacy systems, a team of global HR systems strategy specialists, a team of data administrators, and a team of systems implementation and solutions management professionals.

This role will be based from Hitachi’s office in Bangalore and will work with colleagues globally – we have a One Team approach.

What you bring to the team

We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for includes:

  • Demonstrable track record of success in leading HR technology solutions including architecture management, implementation, integration, data administration and systems strategy

  • Transition management capability – experience of Workday essential

  • Team leadership ability

  • Knowledge of the HR data lifecycle including dependencies and relationships

  • Experience gained working in a global, matrix organisation is desirable

  • First class communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage and influence stakeholders

  • A data led approach with strong analytical ability

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills combined with a proactive, approach and problem solving led approach
