Job Title : Manager – Operational Excellence

Reporting To : Head of Operations

Purpose of the position:

• The purpose of the position is to drive the development and ensure the implementation of measures to improve the operation performances/Business processes in all PT areas (process, technical, organizational) in ECI. The measures must be integrated in the Evonik production System and base on the ECI strategy defined regionally in cooperation with global PT to achieve the BL business targets.
• This role will be in charge of devising strategies to enhance or improve business procedures as well as also making sure there is efficiency and a smooth workflow. The Operational Excellence Manager plays an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead continuous improvement events resulting in associate skill and knowledge development and KPI performance improvements.
• Drive lean training and implement a lean toolkit utilizing PDCA; value stream mapping; quick changeovers; Kaizen, problem solving, 5S, etc.
• Using tracking and reporting systems, prepares plans, drives performance, and assures timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and savings goals
• Identifies barriers to success and solicits help from leadership when needed.
• Modeling and driving Problem solving capability into organization (Focused Improvement specialist)
• Lead teach and coach associates at all levels on lean manufacturing processes.
• SPOC for Dombivli site for Operational excellence Programs.
• Set-up & lead a customized training program to enable the organization to achieve the defined targets.
• Drive the performance improvement program coordinating the work of the different teams and moderating in case of escalation.
• Support in developing a high-performance operations team.
• Initiate and drive Process and time-cycle improvement along with sustainability of operations and consistency of product quality.

Requirements of the position:

Education, Certification and / or relevant experience required

• Minimum Bachelor in Chemical Engineering with 10 + years of experience in similar industry .
