Day-to-day responsibility for, or provide support on, projects that generate new products, processes and understanding of commercial value to JM. Contributes to the improvement of the team or processes within JM.

Develop capability of process development team and sample team and improve process facility.

Provide complex technical support to aid the manufacture of catalysts, process technology transfer. Identify Value Analysis/Value Engineering opportunities for Customers, develop fit for market formulation.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Lead implementation of sample and process development infrastructure
  • Train and guide local process development and sample team, support formulation technology transfers, process scale up and validations
  • Manage projects – Introduction and transfer of new processes
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations to customers
  • Respond promptly to support manufacturing team for process improvement and resolve processing issues

SCOPE

Authority-:
  • Process owner for all NPI projects (HDD, LDD, LDG, MC) registered in CDIS
  • Process development lead for NPI projects during development, scale up and launch stages
  • Accountable for smooth transition from sample stage to successful validation stage for all type of new products
  • Manage customer process audit during validation run
  • Ensure training of process development and sample preparation team
  • Review and approve monthly report of process development and customer sample submission
  • Review and approve new process documents (FMEA, process recipe and specifications)
  • Review process change management
  • Review process Capex progress status and track against budget

Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Experience

(TECHNICAL/ PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCY)

Bachelor’s and above Degree in Chemical, process engineering or related

10 to 15 years of experience in process development /process engineering in Clean Air Sector

Essential
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Data analysis skill
  • Process development knowledge of different type of products
  • Hands on and more than 10 Y experience in scale-up work
  • Knowledge and training ability on production equipment for various catalysts
  • >= 8 Y experience about process development of product (HD, LD, MC)
  • Knowledge to assist NPI team for feasibility assessment of new products

Desirable
  • Experience of site acceptance test of equipment, setting up sample facility
