The Platform team is building the foundation on which a myriad of healthcare and research software applications can be delivered to patients, from the cloud to the lab. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for platform services including the development, testing, deployment and operation of software. In addition, the function will manage the platform onboarding and developer experience.

You will be responsible to…

• Product manage an internal digital pathology platform that enables early and translational pharma research (IRISe/Nexus)

• Work with various pharma teams across the globe to understand their goals and requirements, and translate these requirements into user stories and system requirements.

Collaborate with the International Business Leader, and other Product Managers to translate the business requirements into user stories and system requirements, while maintaining a groomed product backlog for implementation by the scrum teams.

• Own the sprint grooming sessions and participate in the agile scrum ceremonies.

• Communicate with the scrum teams to help scope and prioritize the user stories.

• Manage day-to-day priorities with engineering teams and escalate trade-offs with stakeholders.

• Work closely with the UI/UX team to design elegant user experiences that help solve customers’ pain points.

• Participate in daily standups, release planning, and retrospectives

• Provide the voice of the user to the development teams and ensure that teams have clear understanding of what they are developing and the value it delivers

• Execute on the product roadmap and translate high level strategies into manageable stories and product backlog

• Participate in internal workshops to define and initiate projects, assisting the Engineering team to identify dependencies

• Support the development teams during each release cycle to clarify requirements, make priority calls, review test plans and determine a release schedule

As a Technical Product Manager for Research Decision Support, you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS or other technical or business degree.

• 6+ years’ experience as an Agile/Scrum product owner or product manager

• Experience with JIRA or a similar backlog management tool.

• Experience shipping an enterprise, SaaS, or health-related technology product (for internal or external use) is strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

• Self-starter comfortable working in a rapidly evolving fast paced environment

• Strong planning, organization, and collaborative skills

• A willingness to take the lead in new projects, be seen as a decision maker and drive projects to a successful outcome

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members. Understand the intersection between clinical healthcare, technology applications, and trends.

• Personally motivated, creative thinker and accountable team player. Demonstrated ability to respectfully provide and receive feedback

• Previous experience working in medical imaging is required (either in Radiology, or Digital pathology)

• Previous experience building commercial software products for Pharma customers is preferred

• Previous experience building AI/ML platforms preferred

• Good understanding of software quality management systems, regulated software in healthcare and agile

• Experience of product development processes and methodologies (for agile software development)

• Able to foster positive partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization

• Commitment to the organization’s new way of working through greater collaboration and breaking down of siloes
