Directs the activities of teams/shifts of production workers across different shifts/and or work areas so that the established production targets, including volume, cost, safety and quality measures are met. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly/monthly production schedules. Leads a large team directly and indirectly, which include operators and technicians. Operations are of mid-level complexity (e.g. higher technology/additional lines), normally requiring some more complex machine set-ups.

Work Experience:

  • 4 to 5 years in Manufacturing Industry (Preferably Chemical)
Education:

  • B Tech (Chemical)
Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor & motivate the production team on daily basis for achieving day to day production activity of all the plants.
  • Achieving daily/weekly/monthly production objectives and targets.
  • Provide support to the team to resolve any process / product related issues / problems.
  • Ensure meeting all customer commitments through on time in full (OTIF).
  • Ensure Raw Material consumption as per the defined recipes by minimizing the wastages in the manufacturing processes.
  • Constantly strive to implement new methods / techniques which would lead to cost savings within the Production system.
  • Ensure proper coordination with the Maintenance team in providing the desired level of engineering services of all plant equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance to norms related to, ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS: 18001 (IMS).
  • Preparation and Monitoring of SOP/OCP and audits.
  • Demonstrate the ability to carry out the organization’s vision to manage changes.
  • Monitoring of supply and demand.
Required Skill Set:

  • Detailed exposure to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and integrated management system.
  • Knowledge & Exposure to EHS systems like Permit to Work System / Fire Protection Systems / Chemical Exposures / Occupational health/Process Safety etc.
  • Good communication skill & involvement in people development activities.
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Experience in planning & organising measures necessary for the effective control of incident, personal injuries.
  • Can assess safety aspects in job studies, & carry out detailed job safety studies of specific hazardous jobs
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of SAP PP module
  • Exposure to TPM, 5S & Kaizen implementation
  • Knowledge of Process Safety
