GEDCOL SOLAR Project

Site Engineer

The contract Duration will be for 6 months.

Salary Range,: Rs 4-6 lacs p.a.

IMMEDIATE JOINERS PREFERRED

Duties vary depending on the type of employer and nature of the project but typically involve :

1 Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, people and other operatives at site

2 Experience of working on big size rooftop and ground mount projects

3 Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines

4 Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations for BOM

5 Work Execution: Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications and SOP’s

6 Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials delivered and used at site

7 Managing, monitoring and interpreting the design documents supplied by the design department or architect

8 Should be able to understand and explain Engineering Drawings, Materials Management at Site from Start till Project handover as per project schedule.

9 liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.

10 Should interact daily basis with Contractor team to meet Cost and Timely delivery targets

11 A team Player who must have managed at least team of 4-5 Technicians and Stores of project. Should have controlled contractor payments cycle and supervisors.

12 Communication with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress to the site manager.

13 Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors

14 Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site. Complies with the highest level of quality, health, safety and environmental standards during all stages of project execution and proactive with safety groups and subcontractors to promote safe and hazardous free work within the designated area.

15 Ensure that all equipment, plant, machinery and vehicles on site have relevant certificates, tests, services, inspections, etc. as required by client and legislation.

16 Preparing reports as required

17 Manage large work force at site

18 Ability of manage multiple contractor at site.

19 Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

1 Proven work experience as a site engineer or similar role in Solar Projects.

2 Good communication skills in English.

3 Experience in construction management.

4 An ability to prepare and interpret schedule for project construction

5 Willing to travel across India.

6 Working knowledge of Microsoft office.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

At least 5 Years relevant Experience in relevant field as Site Project Manager role. Must possess BE/ B-Tech Engineering Degree (preferable into Electrical/ Mech./ Civil ) from recognized college. Previous Company Good track record and related experience certificate in letter.
