Job Title:Systems Administrator

Job Location: India Home Based

Job Overview

The Systems Administrator will perform a variety of computer systems administration and support tasks for assigned IT systems utilized in support of clinical trials and/or SG&A. This individual’s principal goals require a high degree of organizational and analytical skills to deep dive into our business processes to develop and manage the systems administration for each assigned SaaS system. This includes the identification of problems, assessment of risks, and applying technical analysis and experience to see the issues through from start to finish .

The Systems Administrator role is to plan, manage and maintain the organization’s assigned software applications through best practices. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group in the areas related to the technical system administration including a focus on a high level of operational compliance.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals through system administration configuration and operations and identify and resolve related systems issues.
  • Monitor’s system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal (i.e., day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written (procedures and end user updates) form, as well as have an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors opportunities and makes recommendations for continuous improvement of process of clinical systems and supporting IT systems.
  • Partners with business and IT teams to identify and resolve system problems and identify potential system and process improvements.
  • Establish processes with company’s software vendor for prompt rectification of any problems or major incidents.
  • Has a thorough understanding of the business functions and business processes and how they are enabled by IT. Works closely with QA on maintaining current versions of system specific validation documents and participate in developing documentations related to any release and/or configuration upgrades.
  • Key contributor in developing the IT roadmap for clinical systems.

Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Degree in computer science or related area of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience
    • At least 2-3 years of experience managing business administration related SaaS IT systems (e.g., HR- Taleo, ADP, Quantum and/or CRM Workbooks)
    • Experience with business system administration, configuration, supporting system updates and support of end users
    • Experience with service desk workload management for user requests and support.
  • Skills/Competencies
    • Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and others outside the organization.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
    • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong analytical skills to quickly recognize issues and opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies
    • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Capabilities
    • Ability to work remotely.
    • Sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.
    • Between 10% to 15% travel to site as needed
