Product Lead - Smart Utility

Job Purpose

Role purpose:

• Be part of the product development team to develop new and innovative solution around Energy/utility domain thru in house/partnership approach
• The role is inclusive of new product development and building new capabilities with support from IT & NW teams
• Be center of excellence for all utility related architecture, solutions and products.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Study market needs and launch key propositions to drive the AMR/AMI market opportunities
• Develop capability thru in house/partnership approach with potential SI, meters manufacturer, MDM, HES partners for launch of new edge solutions for AMR/AMI use cases in energy or utility domain.
• Work with power/water/gas authorities, regulatory teams on policies that will impact or shape up the industry
• Defining Product Life, value propositions , launching GTM strategy and for smart utility products
• Ensure that new products are launched in agreed timeframes by effectively interfacing with cross functional teams including Technology, Customer Service, Finance, and Legal, regulatory as well as Vodafone Group Teams.
• Actively assist sales pursuits and pre-sales efforts on RFP/RFX bids for client opportunities through the domain consulting and digital practice team and focus on winning/converting the opportunities
• Meeting prospective customers, Conduct POC/demonstration of new capabilities

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• Must possess knowledge of IoT technologies and related market ecosystem and economics
• Good- knowledge of end to end data flow and various components of AMR, AMI, Energy Management, Transformer Monitoring, etc.
• Expertise on various business use cases in Energy and Utility space like AMI, AMR, Energy Optimization, Transformer Monitoring, etc.
• Implementation know-how of applications like AMR/AMI (components like smart meters/MDM/HES), Energy Management and Transformer monitoring
• Knowledge & understanding of government initiatives around smart cities and utilities
• Previous exposure in working with various tenders with DISCOM
• Involved in SCADA projects implementation for any large industrial/Power utility project to develop descriptive and predictive solutions
• Agile, quick thinker with ability to work in an ambiguous scenario

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Engineering Graduate/Post Graduate Electronics/Electronics & Telecom/Electrical

Years of Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in industry with exposure to utilities or equivalent industry project wins/deployments is required
• Pre-sales, engineering, business development and executing structured GTM, solution sales with alliance partners of utilities eco system
