Role DescriptionZero Fatality and Reduction in LTIF:
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable Safety Standard by the employees and contract workmen.
  • Implement all DGMS /OHMS/Du Pont/ Corporate Safety guidelines and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular safety audit / Job cycle check etc. Ensuring Presence of safety supervisors in all shutdown jobs.
  • Implement Safety Management, review progress, develop approaches to sustain and improve the system. Improve the effectiveness of shop floor training by introducing visual S.O.P’s with complete involvement of shop floor people.
  • Ensure a safer working environment for men and material. Implement total safety at work sites as per Company’s norms.
Daily Management
  • Managing shift operational manpower.
  • Track KPIs like auxiliary power consumption, coal consumption, water quality report, coal quality report, TG oil quality report, Ash disposal system, SGA activity, plant generation,PLF,CHP, preventive maintenance schedule adherence, equipment changeover frequency etc followed by corrective action for deviations if any.
  • Coordinate with customer department for load dispatch followed by maximize Power House generation maintaining parameters within safe limit.
  • Preparation of shift report, monthly report of Power, water, coal and Ash.
  • Facilitate Improvement activities. Maintain department EHS activities.
  • Providing shift wise operation report, equipment status report at the end of the shift and as and when required basis to superiors.
  • Operation of Boiler, TG, Ash Plant, DM Plant, CHP,Auxiliary pump house, Cooling Tower,Fire fighting pump house,ASH pond.
  • Maintain the healthiness of Power Plant and Equipment.
  • Ensuring availability & reliability of equipment with the available resources & to ensure maximum available time of equipment’s & machines.
  • Development & record keeping of LOG book for equipment and Machinery.
  • Quality – Implementation of TQM Initiative & Maintenance Management system
  • Delivery- Improve reliability and availability of Boiler, TG, HT & LT motors and HEMMs.
  • People Development – Management of human resources of team to achieve an engaged and competent workforce to create a high performance working environment. Mentor the employees as per their technical and managerial need to support the future requirement.
  • Daily management of reject yard, reject sheds and ash pond/ponds
SkillsTechnical Competencies
  • Good knowledge of Boiler, TG, multistage pumps, compressors, Heavy Earth moving equipment, EOT cranes, Transformers.
  • Sound knowledge of IBR rules, TG governing.
  • Sound technical knowledge and experience of Power Plant, inspection and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
  • Good Knowledge of SAP-PM & Maintenance Management
  • Should be a certified BOE Engineer.
Other DetailsFull time degree of B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical from AICTE approved colleges / UGC approved universities
