MediaCom is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Media Planner to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for all tasks and client service activities associated with an assigned brand/account.

This role reports to: Cluster Planning Lead (P&G Business)

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:

  • Build relationships with the key decision makers at client side and within the company
  • Be an expert on the client’s business proactively engaging with senior clients and actively shaping the quality of Mediacom delivery.
  • Developed a deep understanding and begun to use the Mediacom planning product and tool

In six months:

  • Proactively delivering additional value to the client, leading the team to successfully implement ideas that will improve Mediacom delivery and client’s business outcomes.
  • Established as the lead by both clients and the internal team alike; strong client service ways of working established with strong team communication.


In 12 months:

  • Considered a ‘business’ leader for the client and for Mediacom, providing solutions that deliver a tangible business benefit for both client and agency.
  • Activating a business plan that delivers success to the client and secures Mediacom’s client relationship; leading client, product, people, commercial and profile initiatives

What your day job looks like at MediaCom:

  • Manage the end to end strategy of the brand
  • Provide planning leadership on the brand
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of consumers and consumer segmentation to derive insights
  • Infuse best in class media practices, both from domestic as well as international learnings
  • Communicate embedded learning to increase impact of insights into action
  • Communicate complex ideas/insights in a way that all understand and apply
  • Integrate relevant multimedia opportunities into campaign plans

Minimum qualifications:

  • 9-12 years’ experience in managing media planning/communication strategy & client relationships
  • Strong understanding of brands & consumers
  • Highly passionate, collaborative, outgoing, creative media leader and thinker
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Highly articulate, story-telling capability
  • Business acumen
  • Ability to understand mediums beyond ATL
  • Excellent communication/presentation/client management skills
  • Deep understanding of all media especially Digital. Experience in Mobile Marketing preferred
