Manager – 5G Radio HW Design

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the future 5G and multi-radio architecture and technology development for sub-6 GHz macro and millimeter wave radios.
• Lead feasibility studies and Hardware design of the new radio products.
• Drive overall Radio HW architecture, design, development including all the interfaces.
• Drive technical evaluation and evaluations based on the customer requirement.
• Drive state of the art Technology and Design-to-Cost innovation and execution of the portfolio
• Lead Radio technology evolution and technology selections across Mavenir radio portfolio.
• Work with operations to create world class supply chain and delivery capability solution for the new technologies.
• Convert customer requirements and expectations to the best in class design innovation
• Provide active support for, product management, pre-sales and marketing activities including technical solutions support in the RFI/RFP response.
• Provide guidance and leadership.

Job Requirements

• Proven program leadership track record from complex multi-national 4G and 5G radio programs
• Solid knowledge on radio systems and mobile networks, especially on 3GPP LTE 4G and 5G standards in RAN and the interface between radio network and core network.
• Good knowledge on RF, Digital and Mechanical design and verification.
• In-depth knowledge on RF and SoC technologies and technology trends
• Solid knowledge on Hardware, PHY Layer, RF Front End, Radio development and system integration best practices.
• Familiarity with electronics, PWB and mechanical components supplier base and supply chain
• Ability to drive the cost efficient manufacturing methodologies.
• Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills
• High learning agility and ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills for a variety of audiences including executives, partners, and customers
• Curious minded person striving for continuos learning and innovation
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts
• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/BS/MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• 15+ years’ experience in telecommunication industry in leading of or working in development roles
