About the Role:
We are seeking candidates for Principal Cloud Architect – Analytics position within our Cloud Engineering team. As an Architect you should be an experienced professional with a track record of successful analytics and data warehouse customer engagements. This role is a technical, hands-on cloud engineer that will work closely with our sales teams to develop new business, as well as, drive additional consumption of Oracle Analytics Cloud and Essbase users. The person needs to help customers migrate their workloads to our cloud. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the value of data and analytics, as well as, proven experience delivering solutions to lines of business and technical leadership. The Cloud Engineer should have good understanding of reporting and analytics and the value it can bring to business. From a top down approach, the Cloud Engineer will engage with a customer to discover business problems and goals, and develop solutions using Oracle Cloud services. We are looking for team members who can work hands on with Oracle Cloud products, develop custom demonstrations, lead proof of concepts and clearly articulate the Oracle Analytics and Cloud value proposition. Experience in Analytics/BI tools is required along with passion, curiosity, technical depth, and exceptional communication/presentation skills. You will be a part of a diverse team working closely with Oracle Sales and leadership to build and expand customer’s OCI footprint, by effectively engaging with customer from Pitch-to-Production lifecycle of a customer workload.

Our Engineers are deep technical domain experts, who are responsible for both explaining and showing how Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure Solutions solve real-world business challenges. They work closely with field Cloud Architects to help craft the solution and then continue to collaborate with the customer on implementation of these solutions.

Work Timings:
Oracle offers flexible ‘work-from-home’ options for our adjusted work shifts of 2PM-11PM IST to accommodate our North American customers and promote work/life balance for all our diverse employees. Since this is a customer-facing role, we need to make sure that there is adequate time overlap with US time zones to be able to effectively communicate & collaborate with our customers and US Oracle teams. We try to keep the morning IST hours free for our employees so that they can take care of personal family matters and Oracle also offers free home pickup/drop-off car services- via company provided taxi cabs- for our employees as well. Responsibilities include:
Plan, Configure, Deploy and Operate a cloud solution

Cloud Architects are chartered with accelerating pipeline and cloud consumption for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, workloads and use-cases

Understanding Customer’s business requirements and leading technical solution development using Oracle’s cloud capabilities

Deliver Proof of Concepts for new solutions on Oracle Cloud

Develop collaborative working relationships with sales, product management, development and other functional areas within Oracle, continuously contributing towards Product enhancements and increasing Cloud consumption

Execute on engagement including coordinating scoping and delivery in a timeline for delivery engagements

Build and nurture relationships with North America Customers / Partners locally present in India to drive various enablement and implementation activities on OCI

Preferred qualifications include:
Primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle’s analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse, OBIEE, OBIA, Machine Learning and Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW)

Should have extensive, hands on, end to end implementation experience using OAC/OBIEE Reporting tools – BI Publisher, Analysis & Dashboards

Expertise in design and development of Oracle BI Repository (RPD) solution

Experience in configuring OBIEE / OBIA security (Authentication and Authorization – Object level and Data level security) as well as tuning and multiple source systems

Advanced knowledge of OBIA pre-built content and experience with customizing/extending OBIA pre-built content of different modules

Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Warehouse (DW), Data Modelling concepts and SQL/PLSQL

Knowledge of Database, Cloud Concepts, Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW), Data Integration (ODI/Golden Gate) is an added advantage

Experience with other BI or Data warehouse products such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau or Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery etc. is a plus

BI products certifications preferred

Education and Certification:
A BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent or related technical field

Cloud (OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP) Architect Associate level certification is a must

Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.

Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.

Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic.

Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification. 8 years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience.
