Will engage with customers in proliferating the product and bridging the gap between field activities and RnD.

Will need to present technology both internally and externally. Knowledge of Cadence tools is plus but not a requirement.

The Product Engineer (PE) works on defining features of the tool.

The role requires PE to define a feature, propose its use model and decide its consumability.

The role involves working closely with developers and make a road map for product development.

PE is assigned owner of one or more features of the tool.

Responsibility is on PE to drive it with passion and work on latest advanced technology even before industry consumes it.

He is also responsible for planning various enhancements to an existing tool capability.

PE is expected to work with developers to resolve different reported bugs.

Role may involve interaction with customers on critical issues and deliver customer trainings when needed.

PE is expected to understand the open tool issues and propose a solution which is plausible for developers and customers.

This role is exciting, challenging and requires huge technical expertise on various work topics on daily basis.

Job Description

  • Seeking a highly motivated, customer-facing engineer who can spearhead Digital Implementation & Signoff engagements with top tier global customers working closely with Account Field Teams and R&D teams together.
  • The position provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with customer and providing feedback to R&D team to define the roadmap of the products
  • Prior Designer, Product Engineering or Application Engineering experience in digital implementation (Synthesis, Physical Design, Place and Route) and sign-off (timing/physical)
  • Understand industry challenges in digital implementation & sign off domain with exposure to 28nm & below foundry process nodes
  • Industry Experience with Cadence EDA tools in the IC digital sign-off flow, preferably on Innovus, Genus and Signoff tools
  • Experience in Logic Design and Synthesis, Formal Verification, Low Power design, Physical Design and Timing Closure for block level and Top Level Designs
  • Knowledge of ARM Processor Architecture and the Implementation Flow – Synthesis, Physical Design and Timing Closure

Additional Job Description

  • Requires a BS or MS in EE with 5-15 years industry related experience in design and EDA with an emphasis on Cadence tools of Synthesis, Physical Design & timing closure at 20nm or below nodes
  • Automation skills using Perl, Tcl and shell scripting essential
  • Strong analysis skills required to debug complex timing closure, logical and physical design problems. Ability to perform root-cause analysis to suggest solutions to customers and provide feedback to R&D
  • Digital Physical Implementation and timing closure skills
  • Proven track record and experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer interaction skills. Some travel is required
