This is a Sr R&D Engineer role, reporting to the Technical Manager in business area Process Automation located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABB. It is based in Bangalore, the silicon-valley of India. Your responsibilities

• Investigate and analysis of unexpected behaviors of ABB Cloud IoT Platform.
• Use state of the art monitoring and diagnostic tools (such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Kudu) to isolate and find the root cause of the issues.
• Provide support for critical issues, requiring in-depth product know-how.
• Assist clients and development teams as L3 specialist in understanding and troubleshooting issues.
• Resolve questions or issues related to product deployment, configuration, functionality, performance, scalability, and availability across multiple cloud platforms and network infrastructures.

Your background

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics from a reputed institution.
• Required 3 to 5 years of experience in supporting, testing or development of software.
• Should have willingness for self-learning of new skills, knowing new tools, product areas to utilize these while solving issues.
• Should have ability to perform logical reasoning and make conclusions based on collected facts.
• Good to have experience with .Net, containers, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, network infrastructures, security concepts.
• Should have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
