Responsibilities:

System Integration and Engineering Manager, Desktop role is a leadership and senior level technical role that provides management oversight of the engineering team and is the overall owner of the Workspace technology strategy, platforms, & applications within GSK. The role delivers expert level design, build and deployment solutions and leads the engineering support model. This role analyses and manages the resolution of the most complex technical issues while providing expert technical support and direction to multiple workspace design, build and deployment teams. Will proactively lead the team of engineers to deliver solutions in support of modern workspace product owners, business stakeholders and new technology requirements.

The candidate in this principal engineering role will be a subject matter expert and will be expected to manage a team of engineers by utilizing proven expertise and experience to create and deliver strategy and solutions to improve the computing environment and to modernize technologies options for GSK.

• Works closely with the Modern Workspace and EUS leadership teams to create and deliver technical strategy and design
• Manage team of engineers to high level of competency across broad list of technologies
• Deliver subject matter expertise in workspace technologies
• Lead design, build, deployment model of the Workspace technology platforms & applications
• Lead and supervise strategic partners and CW’s executing Workspace technology activities
• Holds accountability for the technical quality of Workspace Technology platforms & applications
• Continuously improve Workspace technology offering and end user experience
• Workspace Technical Architecture Lead
• Workspace Proof of Concepts Lead
• Workspace Integration Architecture Lead
• Workspace Product Design and Build Lead
• Workspace Production Readiness Lead

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree plus demonstrated technical and management experience
• Engineering experience of 14-20 years.
• 8 plus years running infrastructure operations.
• 6 plus years leading technical team, and interfacing with support and suppliers.
• Lead, design, develop, & deliver enterprise scale workspace technology platforms and applications.
• Supervise strategic partners and CWs executing Workspace technology activities.
• Experience leading Modern Workspace disciplines including Hardware selection and integration, lifecycle management, data and device security, automation and integration solutions, device configuration & management.
• Technology experience including Active directory, MS Intune, MDM, MS Azure, Windows, Mac, databases and data integration.
• Experience leading in an Agile environment.
• Ability to collaborate across globally distributed cross-functional teams.
