Roles and Responsibilities

a) Review and provide in-depth inputs for process studies such as PFD Reviews, P & ID Reviews, HAZOP etc. during Project Development for Various Utilities and Offsite Packages/System

b) Identify process engineering deliverables, based on the scope agreed by the project manager and use these as a basis to assist in the provision of project estimates and project execution plan.

c) Review of Scope of Work/project deliverables for various Utilities & Offsite Packages during Contracting Stage

d) Technical Evaluation of Vendor Offers for Utilities & Offsite Packages being implemented on EPC/EPCM basis.

e) Resolve and handle complex troubleshooting, design optimization and provide operations in-depth inputs during engineering studies for continuous improvement of plant safety, performance & reliability.

f) Suggest value improvement opportunities during the design and execution phase

g) Develop cost benefit analysis during the different phases of project development to achieve capital and operational efficiency.

h) Monitor project progress and reporting on actual progress vis--vis targets, identifying implementation bottlenecks and reporting to senior management for expediting works

i) Seamless co-ordination with various project engineering and project control departments.

j) Responsible for providing the process engineering support to the project Manager to ensure that the project delivers the required benefits and is fit to purpose.

k) Responsible for ensuring that all process engineering technical scope change is agreed with the project manager prior to implementation through the life of the project.

l) Responsible to work in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the process engineering requirements of projects are effectively and technically delivered to meet timeline and budget.

m) Maintain highest HSE standards aiming towards zero incidents.

n) Review of System Handover Checklists, Inspection and Resolution of Pending Deliverables with Package Supplier/EPCM Contractor

o) Participate in developing operation philosophy e. g. equipment isolation, inventory/de-inventory, shutdown and start up

p) Develop standard operating procedures for plant pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up activities

q) Pre-commissioning and Commissioning planning and execution

Desired Candidate Profile

Knowledge:

It is desired that the candidate possesses job knowledge to carry out the following:

a. Knowledge of Power Plant, Desalination Plant, DM Plant, Cooling Water System, Effluent Treatment, Hydrocarbon Storage and Transfer, Bagging and Warehouse System

b. Knowledge of reading and understanding PFDs and P & IDs.

c. Knowledge of generating and reviewing process Specifications and Datasheets.

d. Carry out Technical Bid Evaluations in accordance with project specifications and Codes and Standards.

e. Generate / Review RFQ Documents.

Experience:

8 to 12 years of work experience in managing Projects and/or Operations of Utilities and Offsite Units preferably in Oil and Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or Chemical Units.
