Looking for energetic, high-performing Senior Engineer to help shape our technology and product roadmap for Commercial Cornerstone and Organized Data Layer. You will be part of the fast-paced, entrepreneurial team to deliver innovative solutions on Big Data (Cornerstone) for GCS Organization.

Deliver a unified, scalable, and high quality Commercial Analytical Data Ecosystem to bind Commercial Client Relationships of American Express Accounts and Products to drive Decision Support for Growth and Retention. Build Single Data Store of transformed and consumable data on top of raw copies of source system and associated data for commercial; it will provision seamless integration for analytical Use Cases and data driven tasks such as Insights, Analytics, Decision Science, Visualization.

• Owns all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications
• Performs hands-on architecture, design, and development of systems
• Functions as senior member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices w.r.t. tools, common components, and documentation
• Spends significant amount of time writing code and testing, and remainder of time collaborating with stakeholders through ongoing product/platform releases
• Develops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
• Writes code and unit tests, works on API specs, automation, and conducts code reviews & testing
• Performs ongoing refactoring of code, utilizes visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and deliver continuous improvement
• Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative and disruptive technologies – follows GCRTP principles
• Provides continuous support for ongoing application availability
• Works closely with product owners on blueprints and annual planning of feature sets that impact multiple platforms and products
• Works with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
• Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams
• Help maintain the integrity and security of the company database

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.

• 10+ years of software development experience with proven hands-on experience in Hadoop/ HIVE/ C#/ .NET/ NoSQL & SQL Databases
• IT professional with experience in developing enterprise applications of Database (Mysql, Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL) through project exposure across application design & development, testing and implementation, database migration, production support
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve database systems issues
• Experienced in ETL Tool (Talend)
• Experience in data migration
• Good in Performance Tuning, Database Architecture Design, writing SQL scripts including design, database development, stored procedure, views, query writing, joins, Triggers, query optimization, group by, Complex query, CTE, Sub-query, etc.
• Good knowledge on debugging the Complex Stored Procedures and SQL Queries.
• Ability to adapt to new environments
• Good Knowledge in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement definition, design, programming / testing and implementation of major systems.
• Knowledge of Database Backup/ Recovery
• Experience on Microsoft Technologies like C#, ASP.Net MVC, Angular, Angular Js, Razor, Web API, Ajax, SQL Server, Web Services, WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework etc.
• Hands on experience in SSRS
• Good knowledge of OOPS concepts
• Experience working in RESTful Microsoft Web API, WCF, Web Services, jQuery, JavaScript
