About Godrej Industries (Chemicals)

Godrej Industries (Chemicals) is one of the oldest businesses of the Godrej Group and is in the business of manufacturing oleochemicals in India since 1963. Today, we are one of India’s leading oleochemicals players and manufacture and market over 100 chemicals for use in more than 24 applications. We are expanding our reach globally and our products are exported to over 80 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are located in India at Valia in Gujarat and Ambernath in Maharashtra.

Over the last decade, we have diversified our product portfolio to include value added specialty products. Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for handling overall Paints & Coating Business segment of Godrej Industries Ltd- chemicals business.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of Paints & Coatings Industrial market understanding and mapping.
  • Identify, qualify, and expand the business venture through generating revenue (top-line) and reduce its operating costs (bottom-line) in Paints & Coatings Segment in Specialty chemical sector.
  • Explore opportunities and strategic planning to achieve the target in Paints & Coatings Segment.
  • Developing prospective areas and channel partners to achieve consistent business growth.
  • Close contact with R&D Application team for new product initiatives.
  • Experience in branding, sales management and new products launch.
  • Innovative approach in business operation with respect to changing and new market trends
  • Analyze industry and compare firm’s products with that of competitors.
  • Work closely with Commercial Team to optimize logistics.
  • Work closely with regulatory team to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements relative to cross-border movements, customs duties etc. for imports of Intercept products.
  • Monitoring the product line profitability and controlling the pricing/undercutting & Scheme, Sales, Profitability margin.
  • Execute strategies & activities to achieve desired business objectives.
  • Implementation of integrated planning & marketing campaigns.
  • Estimating the budget for brand building & focus in conjunction with operational requirements.
  • Ensuring maximum brand visibility and product awareness activities.
  • Maintaining cordial relations with customers to sustain long-term profitable growth.
  • Monitor the service and customer complaints to maximize customer satisfaction level.
  • Supervise performance to ensure efficiency in sales operations and meeting of individual & group targets.
  • Initiating sales team to meet the sales Target with respect to Paints & Coatings Business Segment
  • Develop new market channels and build strong relationships with sales team and customers for transforming vision into a reality.

Educational Qualification

B.E (Chemical) or MBA

Experience

12 yrs. +
